भारत में क्रिप्टोकरेंसी की ट्रेडिंग को हतोत्साहित करने के लिए इससे होने वाली आय पर 1 अप्रैल से 30% टैक्स और 1 जुलाई से 1% TDS काटा जाने लगा है। इसके बाद देश में चलने वाले प्लेटफॉर्म पर क्रिप्टो की रोज होने वाली ट्रेडिंग 90% तक घट गई। हालांकि, इस बीच नया ट्रेंड सामने आया है। करीब ढाई महीनों में देश के कई निवेशक चीनी एक्सचेंज पर शिफ्ट हो गए हैं।

मार्केट इंटेलिजेंस फर्म सेंसर टावर का डेटा बताता है कि चीन में प्रतिबंधित चीनी मूल के संस्थापक वाली कंपनी बाइनैंस होल्डिंग्स के अगस्त में भारत में डाउनलोड बढ़कर 4.29 लाख हो गए। यह इसके प्रतिद्वंद्वी एक्सचेंज क्वॉइनडीसीएक्स का तिगुना है। यही नहीं, जुलाई के मुकाबले अगस्त में बाइनैंस ही सबसे ज्यादा डाउनलोड किया गया।

कम फीस और कई ऑफर देने से बाइनैंस आगे निकली
दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा क्रिप्टो एक्सचेंज भारतीय बाजार में आगे निकल गया, जबकि अन्य प्रतिद्वंद्वी टैक्स में भारी बढ़ोतरी और पैसे की सुगम आवाजाही न होने से लड़खड़ा गए। बाइनैंस के संस्थापक चांगपेंग झाओ के कम फीस और कई ऑफर ने प्रतिस्पर्धी प्लेटफॉर्म को पीछे छोड़ दिया है। इसीलिए निवेशक टैक्स चोरी के लिए इस प्लेटफॉर्म पर जाने लगे। टैक्स नियमों के चलते पहचान गोपनीय रखने की शर्त पर कई निवेशक बताते हैं कि भारत के प्लेटफॉर्म ने टैक्स काटना शुरू कर दिया है, जबकि बाइनैंस और एफटीएक्स ऐसा नहीं कर रहे हैं।

अभी भी टैक्स नियमों को लेकर उलझन
स्वट्जरलैंड की सेबा बैंक एजी की भारतीय इकाई सेबा इंडिया के CEO क्रिप्टो से क्रिप्टो ट्रेडों रोहन मिश्रा कहते हैं, ‘टैक्स नियमों में स्पष्ट नहीं है कि 1% TDS फ्यूचर से जुड़े क्रिप्टो डेरिवेटिव के लेनदेन पर लागू हाेगा या नहीं, जैसा कि स्पॉट लेनदेन के लिए होता है।’ टैक्स वसूले जाने के सवाल पर बाइनैंस के प्रवक्ता ने कहा है कि वह स्थिति पर निगाह रखे हुए है। वहीं वित्त मंत्रालय ने ईमेल का कोई जवाब नहीं दिया।

चीन में स्थापित बाइनैंस चीन में प्रतिबंधित है। चीन ने साल 2017 में क्रिप्टो ट्रेडिंग पर प्रतिबंध लगा दिया था। साल 2021 में और सख्त किया। इसके बाद से बाइनैंस केमैन आइलैंड में रजिस्टर्ड है और माल्टा, सिंगापुर, बरमूडा से कारोबार कर रही है। चीन के लोगों को बाइनैंस में अकाउंट खोलने की अनुमति नहीं है।
